Loadbalancing Configuration

This article is intended for electricians/installers.
There are two ways to configure load balancing:
Use the Installation Wizard in the partner portal
Follow the manual configuration below
The video below shows how the installation can be done using the Installation Wizard.
Overview of the steps
To configure load balancing, the following steps are required:
Create an organization
Add chargers
Add a power meter (Amp Guard)
Create a load balancing group
Import chargers to the group
Configure the chargers
Activate load balancing
Preparations
The following information is required before starting the configuration:
Customer contact details
Charger serial number and PIN/WiFi password (found in the documentation included with the charger)
Serial number for the power meter (Amp Guard)
PIN code for Amp Guard (8 digits, found on the label on the underside)
Then log in to the partner portal:
https://my.charge.space/partner
Create an organization
Start by creating an organization. The organization corresponds to the location where the chargers are installed, for example a private residence, housing association, or company.
Go to Organizations in the menu
Click Create
Fill in as much information as possible to simplify administration and future contact
Add chargers
Once the organization is created, the chargers can be added.
Open the organization in the list
Click Go to to open the admin interface
Go to Chargers in the menu
Click Add
Enter the charger serial number and password
Confirm with OK
Once the charger is added, continue the configuration in the Admin portal.
Add power meter
The next step is to add the power meter (Amp Guard).
Go to Power meters in the menu
Click Add
Enter the Amp Guard serial number
Enter the 8-digit PIN code from the label on the underside
Select the organization you created
Create load balancing
Then create a load balancing group.
Go to Load balancing in the menu
Click Add
Configure the following:
Organization – select the organization
Power meter – select Amp Guard (if used)
Type of load balancing – choose the latest version (Standard – highest number)
Name and description – required fields
Then continue with the following settings:
Outlet active – check if chargers should be included in the measurement
Phases – which phases are used (1-2-3 or 1-2-3)
Maximum current per phase (AG offline) – same value as set under the charger setting Offline current
Maximum current per phase (AG online) – maximum allowed current per phase
Minimum current per charger – lowest current the charger can start a charging session with (usually 8 A)
Maximum supply current – the main fuse rating of the electrical installation
Import chargers
When the load balancing group is created, the chargers must be connected to it.
Click Import under charger list
Select Import from organization
Select the chargers that should be included in the load balancing
Click Import
Charger settings
When the chargers are imported, a configuration window will appear where the following settings are defined:
Which phases the charger may use
The maximum current the charger may use if communication is interrupted
Activate load balancing
When the configuration is complete, activate load balancing.
Go to the list of load balancing groups
Click Activate
Load balancing is now active.
