Charging Efficiency as a Service (CEaaS)

Charging Efficiency as a Service (CEaaS) is a feature in Charge Amps Cloud that enables the use of an external Charge Point Management System (CPMS) together with Charge Amps services.

CEaaS acts as an intermediary for communication between the charger and the external CPMS via OCPP.

What does CEaaS do?

CEaaS manages communication between:

• Charge Amps chargers

• Charge Amps Cloud

• An external CPMS

This allows the charging station to communicate correctly with the central system and enables improved charging and energy management.

How does CEaaS work?

This setup makes it possible to combine the features of Charge Amps Cloud with an external CPMS, allowing both systems to be used in parallel.

Where is CEaaS activated?

CEaaS is activated in the Partner Portal.

1. Go to my.charge.space/partner.

2. Open the organisation that the charger or chargers belong to.

3. Select the relevant charger.

4. Open Charger settings.

5. Select the desired server from the drop-down menu under Charging Efficiency Service.

6. Activate the switch next to the drop-down menu so that it turns green.

7. The charger will now restart and connect to the selected server.

• Activate or deactivate Charging Efficiency Service

• Select which CPMS the charger should connect to

Which chargers support CEaaS?

CEaaS is available for OCPP chargers.
